  • “Gota a Gota - dê Vida a quem precisa"

"Drop by Drop – Give life to those who need it"- With the objective of reducing the shortage of blood at national hospitals across the country, Banco Económico joined up with the National Institute of Blood and implementing blood collection actions and initiatives in various provinces of Angola.

  • Cooperation Protocol with the Municipal Hospital of Cacuaco

The healthcare field is one of the weakest areas in the country and hence requires urgent investment to improve the wellbeing of Angolans. Thus, we sponsored the Municipal Hospital of Cacuaco. The support given by the bank consists of donating equipment, medication and consumables in addition to volunteer actions.

Key projects in the Culture and Arts fields

In addition to the constant support for culture reflected in the exhibitions held in the Banco Económico Gallery, the bank also supports other cultural area projects.

  • Sponsorship of the Regional Museum of Huíla

Banco Económico is associated with the Regional Museum of Huíla through an initiative that seeks to gather children’s books for a new “Story Telling” facility in the museum.
This space seeks to boost the dynamics of the museum’s education service and foster the appreciation for literature among young persons. This space also functions as a workshop for developing manual works, showing documentaries and educational films focusing on the importance of the preservation of heritage, the environment and species.

  • Angola: centuries of loneliness

Banco Económico backs this project co-authored by the researchers Martinho Júnior and Leopoldo Baio. This book highlights the different episodes in Angolan political and military history, portraying the history of Angola in a chronological fashion right from colonialism through to 1992 and civil war with texts surrounded by pictures, maps and statistics.
